Southwestern BBQ Sauce
Ingredients
1/3 cup of finely chopped onion
1 garlic clove minced
1 tablespoon of macadamia nut oil
3/4 cup of apple juice
1/3 cup of tomato paste
1/4 cup of cider vinegar
2 tablespoons of packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons of molasses
1 tablespoon of paprika
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish,
1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper
Methods/steps
In a medium saucepan cook onion and garlic in the macadamia nut oil over medium heat. Stir in remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes or until desired consistency. Brush sauce over Ribs, chicken or beef. Excellent as a pizza sauce for a BBQ pizza!
