This Father’s Day, surprise your Dad by grilling up some of his favorites! Mouth watering ribs in a home made southern BBQ sauce and tasty honey mustard chicken drumsticks. Prepare the marinade the day before, brush over meat and refrigerate. Then sit back, relax and enjoy the day with Dad – as grilling has never been this easy or delicious.
Treat Dad with Southwestern BBQ Sauce Ribs
Ingredients
1/2 cup of finely chopped
1 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp of Macadamia Nut Oil
3/4 cup of apple juice
1/3 cup of tomato paste
1/4 cup of cider vinegar
2 tbsp of molasses
1 tbsp of Paprika
1 tbsp of prepared horseradish
1 tbsp of Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp or salt
1/2 tsp of ground black pepper
Methods/Steps
In a medium saucepan, cook onion and garlic in the Macadamia Nut Oil over medium heat. Stir in remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes or until desired consistency. Brush sauce over ribs, chicken or beef. Excellent as a pizza sauce for a BBQ pizza!
Or for a lighter meal Honey Mustard Chicken Drumsticks.
Ingredients
12 chicken drumsticks
1/2 cup of honey
1/4 cup of Dijon mustard
2 tsp of shredded lemon peel
2 tbsp of lemon juice
2 tbsp of Organic Avocado Oil
2 cloves of minced garlic
1/2 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of hot pepper sauce
1/4 tsp of ground pepper
Methods/Steps
Combine above ingredients in a bowl, place chicken in a re-sealable plastic bag and pour marinade over.
Refrigerate overnight. Drain chicken and brush excess marinade on during the last few minutes of grilling.
